In 1893 , Free Orchards was incourperated and renamed “Cornelius” to honor the man who spent many years helping build the community.

Today, Cornelius Oregon is known as an agurcultural town, neighboring Hillsboro and Forest Grove. Cornelius is now increasingly recognized as a suburb of beautiful Portland Oregon… “The City of Roses.”
